I wanted to get your opinions on an offer I’m going to receive from EY working in their climate change practice as senior consultant. My background: working in EHS for 6.5 years, currently in insurance as a consultant.

Current salary: 90k and standard benefits including 401k and company car (used for personal travel also).
EY offer: 95k plus 10k signing bonus as senior 1 consultant.

I told the recruiter that I make a similar salary and other benefits and that I want higher offer. Thoughts?

I’m in my 2nd year in audit. I want to pivot into management consulting within a big 4 or MBB. Has anyone seen someone make this lateral movement? I’m not sure how feasible that is and what steps to take. I’m also down to discuss further with whoever is comfortable in connecting.

I’m not from an English speaking country but I am watching a tv show and businessmen walk into a room and instead of greeting eachother, everyone says each person’s first name in lieu of hi, however in my experience working in the states, I haven’t seen anyone do this, it’s always hi or good afternoon or some other greeting first THEN they say their first name. is it also appropriate to omit the greeting?
