Hello,
I just completed an initial phone interview with HR from HSBC
It's for the Corporate Banking Manager - ISB - Commercial Banking associate position. What are the next steps of the interview? Is there any behavior or technical assessments? What are the possible salary ranges? Thank you HSBC HSBC

You don’t have to disclose it. Just don’t lie about it if asked. E.G.,
“Why are you leaving Deloitte?”
“Because it’s a pit of vipers!”
Just don’t lie. Good luck getting the job!
Yes. The right answer is ALWAYS I’m leaving because ~this is a better opportunity because a, b, c. You can stick with that. In fact, it’s still the truth.
Yeah, it’s totally kosher to stick to your original narrative. No one’s going to ask you if you got fired, lol. You’re already in the thick of the process.
The only thing I’ll say is that when they run a background check on you, they’ll see that employment was terminated on 7/2020 so that has the potential to raise a red flag. You might get a call from HR at new firm asking for an explanation and you can just tell them that yes, I indeed got laid off during the interview process. That’s it. You’ll be fine.
Accn1 - maybe but I don’t think so.
Deloitte let’s you claim the firm as your employer until your severance pay runs out. If you were laid off last week, you have till month end to still claim Deloitte as your employer. So no need to disclose anything.
Oh, and one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
Fuck Deloitte. You’ll be just fine ;)
I've been in this situation before and they won't care. People get laid off all the time.
