I was left out of many promising roles in USA, and lately I stopped considering it all together. The reason being simple, they have to file H1b and wait until March to see if I win that lottery. Obviously nobody is going to do that.
Which makes me wonder, how do many people end up with jobs in the USA and also visa. I am a STEM PhD.
To give some context, I am currently not in USA, never was (except business visits) , I never studied in USA, and never worked in USA.

Over the last few years I’ve allowed myself to gain 40 pounds. I often feel uncomfortable and unattractive in my own body, and I fear that the extra weight puts me at greater risk if I were to catch Covid (though I am vaccinated). Im a 6th year associate working for a company that I plan to stay at long term. I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. Other than citizenship, are there any other benefits of having a baby in the US vs in India? My wife and I may not be settling in the US, depending on what we decide over time. With that in mind, my wife is siding towards having the baby in India. When I checked online, I don’t really see any benefit except for the citizenship. Any inputs appreciated :)
