I've definitely felt that way. And the raise never felt like it was enough to justify how much extra stress and pressure I would be under. Just try to think reasonably and do what you can without stressing yourself out.
It’s great to get a pay rise, but the extra stress can be tough to manage. I’ll definitely try to keep things in perspective. Thanks for the advice!
Just remember that the raise you received, you have already earned.
You're absolutely right! It’s nice to be reminded that the hard work paid off. I’ll keep that in mind it helps to stay positive! Thanks for the encouragement!
I can totally relate to that feeling! A pay raise is definitely a reason to celebrate, but it often comes with added expectations and pressure. It can shift your perspective on work, making you feel like you constantly have to prove your worth. It’s a balancing act between enjoying the reward and managing the stress that comes with it. How have you been coping with those new expectations?
Absolutely, prioritising and managing workload is the key. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Congrats on the raise! Anything is welcome right now!
Thanks so much! Every little bit helps, doesn’t it?
Mine was delayed twice with a promotion once under the guise of "missed the deadline to submit it" by the time they got around to it, I was promoted to the same level as someone with less seniority and years of experience. I was hot!,
That sounds so frustrating! It's tough when promotions get delayed like that, especially when you’ve worked hard for it. I’d be annoyed too!
