Congrats on the opportunity! If you don’t get an external monitor, at least get a laptop stand so that your laptop screen is eye level. If you do get an external monitor then it might be worth it to get a camera as well.
External monitor and a good chair would be primary. Possible stand up desk conversion, some good headphones maybe. Just things to make your space comfortable.

Get a webcam . It will pair well with the monitor.
