I work at a consultancy and received a CJO with a three letter agency for a top secret position. It’s a huge paycut from what I make as a consultant. I can accept the CJO but I’m worried that they will contact my current employer and I’ll face ramifications at my current job. Has anyone navigated this? I have an active secret clearance, BS in strategic intelligence, working on a masters in cybersecurity, and taking Security+ in December. No work experience in cyber, just my education and bootcamp course for Security+. Should I still apply for job that want 2-5+ years cyber experience and/or an active TS clearance?

Is Federal/Public Sector consulting fulfilling work? I'm at a tier 2 consulting firm right now focused on retail clients, and I just feel like there is zero point to this work.
