If creatives leave your agency do you see that as an opportunity to get on better work or is it overall bad for the agency as it costs more to hire new people?

Speaking as an incredibly mediocre creative who’s been wanting to get a shot on the cool account, no. You will not be considered for that work if you’re not already doing it. They would rather get someone they know can make good work from another agency than give the mediocre person a shot. Wishful thinking tho 👌

It usually means someone more senior than me is going to be working double covering them while the agency avoids filling the vacancy as long as they can.

If creatives are leaving in droves, you’re going to have trouble replacing them with quality talent, the industry is very small, people warn their network about bad agencies. There isn’t high creative team turnover because the agency is a great place to work. Examine c-suite management, examine client relationships, examine internal agency systems that may be contributing to people’s desire to leave the company en masse. Look for common denominators.

What do you mean by get on better work. Is this coming from a creative who chooses to leave a company to find better work? Or coming from the agencies perspective to hire a better fit creative?

When some people who usually work on good briefings leave, it is an opportunity for other creatives to get on those briefings.

To answer your question, OP: yes!

Hello all, need some advice. Am currently working for a government consulting agency, but wishing to leave due to the way the project is being managed...I am in at least 4-5 hours of meetings a day, so barely have time to prepare for demos, preparation of slides for the client, nevermind being able to write decent stories(tickets)... Usually have to rush writing requirements, steps, etc, ...
So I have been looking around.

I got an automated mail today saying:

I received a job offer from company A and am currently negotiating salary. I have an interview with company B next week and know that they offer a higher base pay. There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me. Should I accept the offer from company A, continue interview process with company B and then rescind my offer with company A if company B offers me a job? Will I be burning bridges?

How would I approach this when asked without pricing myself out of the position? Especially if they’re not willing to be upfront (assuming here) how much they’d want to offer me in particular.
