Happy Independence Day🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
My wife started as an M at Accenture earlier this year coming from industry. I’ve never worked at Accenture or any b4, but I had to explain to her how up or out works. She also didn’t know that she came in with 24 months at level and what that meant. Really surprised none of this was communicated during hiring or by her manager.

If you don’t know people in the firm / can bring your business, it will be extremely hard. SM is the worst position in the firm and you should be prepared to work extra hard during the first year
Depends on life goals honestly. Consulting is a very special lifestyle. You can expect more stress but also probably more excitement. Are you ready for work being a bigger part of your life? If yes, then go for it
@KPMG1 Hopefully he’d be a partner by then with 5 years at SM.
I doubt a SM would last for 5 years in a brand new firm
I was with Deloitte before at a lower level, it’s a boomerang scenario but previously I did not have targets
My SMs have always told me that SMs external hires wash out more than any other level. You’re expected to sell immediately with relatively little network
Could be sounds risky. What is the base increase
Base increase would be around 60k
Do it for 5 years, get experience and knowledge and then move back to industry with more title and more $$$
