How is job security in deloitte usi
Trying to figure out what I’m gaining/losing if I make the switch to Deloitte. SCs, particularly in Financial Services…I’m being told up to 17% for bonus. What percent have you actually seen? Same for pension - they’re pushing that as a great benefit, but it looks like 1-3% is what that normally is?
Deloitte

97k/7k at Leidos or 95k/7k at Booz ?
More money for less responsibility? Sounds like a win to me.
Depends on what your long-term objectives are. If it's to stay in consulting long-term, I would absolutely not go from BAH associate to Deloitte consultant. If you're in it for short-term economic gain, then definitely. "More pay, less responsibility" is great when you don't care about long-term career progression in consulting.
These are both good points, thanks all
Associate at Booz = Senior Consultant at Deloitte so it is a downgrade by level. But 25% is 25% and you would be at SC in two years.
SM1- lol you’re right (I guess my concept of time is warped). But assuming they accept, onboard, find a project, I still wouldn’t expect an early promo.
No it’s not. Nobody takes BAH titles seriously
This is a good point. A BAH Associate in the d.c. area was equivalent to a BAH SC in other geographies.
Title is nothing but a title. If it's a title demotion but with 25% increase, I'll take it. It means 1) less responsibility and 2) more money once promoted to the next level. If you're a strong performer, promotion may not be too far off to make a business case for yourself. This is perhaps a shortsighted POV but just my two cents. Good luck!
Try to get a sign on bonus and do it. Associate and Consultant are similar levels
Thanks for the advice, will bring that up!
You know the titles dont align right…
Have you tried asking for a different title?
Great advice thank you
Chase the money.
Was a new A at BAH and left a couple months ago for SC at D. Honestly, with my YOE I probably should have been a C since everyone I manage is older than me. However, I have strong project management skills so I’ve been able to succeed so far. If I didn’t feel so confident in those skills, I think it would be a really hard transition.
If you respect your team of experienced older workers, would you still say they're beneath you?
...
Project manager does not imply supremacy. Being an effective leader of experienced people is about being a servant leader, not congratulating yourself for 'managing' people older than you
