If I didn’t get the position you could at least send a default “We are picking someone else” email. Is it common in other industry’s to just get completely forgotten about if you didn’t get the job?

I’m trying to transfer departments at my company and I talked to the MD of the department i wanna transfer to, and told him working remotely is a requirement to me, and he said he’s not sure if that’s possible, and that would depend on HR and the hiring manager. He still forwarded my resume to HR and I got an interview. How should I negotiate to make the role fully remote?

My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. The issue is I left the company because of an abusive manager who constantly put me down and made me feel like I wasn’t doing anything right. If I come back I’d be working under her again. I'm having total 7+ yoe (5+yrs embedded developer + 2yrs in FuSa automotive) Initially HCL have denied what I've expected for automotive FuSa and they have given an offer of 10LPA with a justification that my relevant experience is less, now I'm holding an offer of 18 LPA and asked HCL for a counter offer for the same position what do you guys think will HCL offer me this much?

Long post alert; I have been interviewing with a b4 for a senior con role since Mar end. Cleared all the rounds including case study and got strong rating as well as good feedback. Fast forward to last week, the talent POC calls me up and informs that she has asked the business if the position is still open, because now they just need the business approval to roll out the offer. I immediately felt demotivated as to ‘why now’ after all rounds have been cleared (continued in the comment below)
