I was interviewed at EY UK on 7th Sep. It was quite smooth. Since then I haven't heard anything back from them though interviewer claimed SLA to get back with outcome of interview is 48 hours. On portal it still says I'm in hiring team phase. It was level 1 interview.
Should I take this delay as rejection?

There is literally no way to predict it, you have a high likelihood of not landing a job at all. There are hundreds of people here already with prior work ex in Big4 from around the world knocking on the doors already
If you have savings to sustain yourself for 5-6 months in UK then it might make sense. Market is unpredictable and slow right now. Most of the Big4s have a hiring freeze. Better to figure out a job first and then move.
Yes I understand that. I will not be alone. My partner is already working there. In that case, do you think moving makes sense?
It is about being mentally prepared to wait 5-6 months to get a job. It might happen sooner but be prepared if it takes more. You will be alone in a new country without friends/family so it might makes things more difficult. Brutal truth.
Thank you for your response. I think it’s the reality. I will not be alone my spouse is staying there so I think that could be a relief. But I am sure of the mental tension.
Hi all. I am currently in India and looking for any opportunity in UK. But I am getting rejected from jobs that perfectly fit my skillset without even an interview. Is it because I will need sponsorship. Can anyone guide me with that
Pro
most likely yes - nobody wants to sponsor unless they really have to
also your company in India makes a world of difference, it’s more likely for someone at the Big4 to secure a Big4 roles here
