Hi All,
I joined Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?
Anyone wanna FaceTime ?

Consulting
I-banking
Functional role at a company (finance, marketing, strategy etc)
Houston will be Energy focused
Salary ranges would be comparable to national avgs. See employment report for the schools you are attending. You can also look up employment report for Rice University mba, which places most people in Houston (you will be competing with Rice and UT MBAs for most jobs in Houston)
130ish avg salary i would say. Consulting and banking pay more (160-200)
Just look up the school employment reports. Their placements statistics are very well marketed.
UT is outside of the T10 but should give you a good feel for regional placements in the SW.
You'll largely be looking at the below roles: (1st year comp)
1) Consulting: $210-225 cash (salary + bonus). 60-65 hours per week.
2) Banking: $300-350 cash (salary + bonus). 70-90 hours per week. Tapers to 60-80 hours after 2 years.
3) Functional: (FP&A, tech PM, etc.) $150-200 cash (salary + bonus). 35-60 hours per week.
This is after 10 years of technical experience — wanting to transition to more strategic, leadership, and decision-making roles.
I assume it would open the door to a lot assuming you network your ass off and build connections in the program. Houston is obviously huge for E&U, healthcare, etc. industry. Additionally strategy consulting, big finance, etc has a presence too. Salary details are pretty transparent - maybe post in the salary bowl to get some real data on MBA hire numbers but here’s a start and many more avail at least for consulting space: https://managementconsulted.com/consultant-salary/
Thank you to each of you for your thoughtful feedback and advice. I am immensely appreciative of the time and insight you’ve shared.
I’m at a pivotal point in my career and am carefully considering my next steps. While I’ll keep my specific technical specialties private, I’ve spent much of my career in technical roles, with significant experience in both consulting and the energy sector. My priorities for the next phase are clear: I want a stable, long-term career path in Houston… one that offers growth potential and is resilient to automation.
Financially, I need to be the primary breadwinner for my partner and aging parents, who will increasingly rely on my support. Should we have children, I also want to ensure stability, access to strong schools, and the ability to afford housing in Houston’s suburbs, where prices now often exceed $400–500K.
Strategically, I’m evaluating how to position myself for both stability and high income. My current total compensation is in the mid $100’s with only my bachelor’s / experience and I’m weighing whether pursuing an MBA would be a worthwhile investment to achieve my exponential goals.
Does an emba even count? Talking to some executives they thought it was a funny joke
Ask the MBA school admissions offices they should have stats
