$140k total comp after 2 years in audit is crazy given what skills you actually have after 2 years of big 4 audit. Get it while it’s hot
This is the truth
Accounting advisory does not have WLB. It is 60hr weeks year round
Pro
False, I'm at a midsize firm doing accounting advisory and average 35-40 hours
That salary is in line with FAAS at EY, but I’ve never heard of a FAAS senior getting that type of bonus. Are you sure those are actual bonus numbers for a senior?
Like finance process optimization
Would TC be a marked increase from your TC at B4?
What are other factors? Do you want to do the work?
Is company performing well (layoff risk)?
In office/remote?
$ is nice, but look at this holistically would be my advice.
Sounds like a good gig to me then!
That’s definitely a nice offer
It’s a great offer!
Thanks everyone for the insight!
How do you guarantee WLB in accounting advisory? Sometimes it’s 2 hours of chargeable work a week and some weeks it’s 80 hours a week. It’s all project dependent. But I would take it. IMO, FAAS is a dumpster fire right now moving towards managed services and finance optimization. You don’t see how bad it is until SM though. My advice is to get out while you can. As a SM I feel stuck here because of the pay but also there is no room to move up.
Heck yeah
