If you had to pick one, which do you think is most likely to become legal in the next 10 years in Texas?
- buying liquor on Sundays
- medical marijuana
- abortion

Medical marijuana

like

It’s crazy that marijuana is still illegal in Texas - everyone does it without fear of repercussions. It’s not much different than California and the government isn’t seeing any of the tax benefit.

like

I’m not gonna lie - I think abortion is most likely if it gets changed federally again. I don’t think TX republicans will ever budge on booze or weed.

like

None of the above. The laws changing are taking rights.

like

That does seem to be a general trend - but change is inevitable. Op didn’t put a timeline on his question 😂

Abortion - its healthcare access . In current state women are at risk of dying or becoming infertile because doctors can no longer perform medical procedures needed for quality patient care. The others would be nice to have but not having them isn’t killing anyone.

like

I’m not saying which would be best (OBVIOUSLY bodily autonomy), just which is most likely. I’m being a little pessimistic and optimistic at the same time - I hope abortion changes first, and think it’s most likely because TX has been way more staunch on maintaining no liquor on Sundays, historically.

like

I think Medical will become legal next - as long as it's banned federally. Our state leadership wants to take any chance to distinguish itself from the federal government in the hands of Democrats, and this would be one way to do it.

Technically medical Marijuana is legal. Just very controlled. I have a medical prescription and can get legit gummies from a dispensary.

Abortion - at least on the surface - seems to be a losing proposition for the GOP. If that trend continues, I’d lean that way.

If that changes, weed would likely be an easier path to winning over constituents

Hello Fishes,

I have joined hcl on 24 th sep 2021 and my last working day here is 18th May 2022.
Today I received my provisional full and final settlement and the payable amount is negative -11454. They are recovering the full AMPB amount which I got from September months.
I have heard from this platform only that hcl stopped the recovery police but still I got the negative fnf.

Advice: my firm incentivized associates to get licensed in fed courts - 4 fed courts for a 5k raise. They also covered the admission fee. I just accepted an offer with another firm and will be putting in my 2 weeks notice tomorrow. Is it wrong to submit an expense report for the charges I incurred related to the fed court admission fees? I didn’t plan on moving to another firm; the new firm sought me out and made me an offer - the process happened so fast. I want to be professional about this.

I am hoping to pivot to Product Management or Data Science.

I rented a house that had been vacant for a bit & the prior tenant didn’t do a thorough job cleaning up. Agent indicated the owner would be open to having the house cleaned but I would need to have the house professionally cleaned when I moved out (that was fine w me). I just received the bill from the owner for $250, which is super annoying bc there was no expectation communicated that I would foot the bill for this, more so bc the cleaner did a LOUSY job. My partner and I bought our home back in 2020. We got a good deal, low rate. But we want to move into a more spacious SFH. However, as we all know this market is crazy. Everything we want costs $620k+ and bc of rates it makes our mortgage estimates $3500+. We are currently paying $2k. And it looks we need to sell the house simultaneously as look for a new one or our contingency isn’t as attractive. I know it’s based on personal circumstances. But what would you do? - not move, sell and buy?
