If you're looking at a career as a Data Analyst or a Business Analyst, you're in a pretty sweet spot! Companies are drowning in data these days, and they desperately need folks who can not only make sense of it all but also turn it into actual business decisions. if only you can get pass the AI recruiter 😁

Wild how we now have to battle with ATS just because it’s every recruiter’s go-to. The key is to stay sharp, keep building your relevance in the field, and trust that the right opportunity will align.

Yeah! But the other way around, even on the opposite end, there isn't a real person going through the applications; it is AI!

In a way, competition is about who can use AI much better and effectively. That is the real test of the skills here!

It's all boils down to who can achieve the results some organization don't care about the procedure and means to get a huge profit

I am not really seeing that. I have tweaked my resume so many times and can't get past the AI recruiter. Plus I have been doing this kind of work for 20 years and the pay is crazy low. I am going to have to take a 30-50% pay cut to get a job

Honestly I think a larger percentage of posted jobs have already been filled internally or have a candidate for the position already.

Oh yes, haha

Here is my go-to interview question, "What is the difference between data science and data analytics?"

What questions does everyone else include when interviewing or is the best question you've been asked in an interview?

Hi all,
I graduated during Covid with a double major in business administration and business management with a minor in marketing and magically ended up in sales because I needed a job. I’m about to take a data analytics course to make an attempt to break into that field. I’m currently looking for a mentor to help guide me during this time. Also, if anyone is willing to look over my resume and give me tips on how to make it more presentable for recruiters in DA that would be very helpful. Thanks

Senior to Manager-level Data Scientists, what is the minimum set of skills and experience you require someone to have in order to train them to be a Data Scientist?

I have a handful of people from BI and Marketing who want to learn how to be a "Data Scientist" where some of them have stronger SQL knowledge and ability than others, but some of them have more exposure to languages like Python and R, and a little bit of machine learning exposure.

Appreciate the input in advance.

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? Any guidance here is greatly appreciated.
