Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

This should only be for when you have been outside UK not all annual leave. Unless something has changed on the application. Check your passport for when and how long you have been outside UK.
I didn’t need to get this validated by HR have they specifically asked they need this validated? You may or may not even have been at the same employer - can’t imagine your current or ex hr being able to help with such a req. ATB anyways
Input all your days you were out of the country truthfully on the forms, and don't worry the document is then signed virtually so no one from HR actually sees how long you spent outside the UK.
Agree with this. HR had no involvement in my successful application and I kept a spreadsheet of all my entries and exits as I was often travelling for work and sometimes on PTO I didn’t leave the U.K…
Hey, I went through EU route of applying (no ILR, straight to citizenship application) so maybe it's different, but from memory I had to provide it myself rather than the employer. Are you sure they want the employer specifically to provide this? If so, yes HR is your best bet.
Yes, they first ask you to list all the specifics down on when you took leave, the dates etc and then want your employer to also list this, possibly to validate
It does seem excessive to expect employers to have this on file for multiple years but thank you, have reached out to HR
What! How am I supposed to get it from a company I no longer work with?
Yeah the whole thing is bizarre to me but I have read elsewhere you can get a blanket statement from your ex employer just stating you only took leave in line with company policy etc
Yes, Indian passport holder moved to ILR. HR signed on the document that summarized my holidays in 5 year period outside UK . ask your HR person
Thank you for this. Did you summarise it yourself and assume they just signed it?
I got ILR recently didn’t provided anything like that, you just need a letter from employer that “you took leave and it was under company policy “ that’s it and also when you provide the full passport scan they can see when you were out and in of country.
