T3 firm reached out re: direct admit to the partnership with some runway to grow the practice. I am at a firm now where there aren’t bright line metrics to make PPMD, but think I could make it in 2-5 years. This would be a step down in brand, but might be better from a WLB and getting to start at partner. Haven’t had firm comp talks yet but range was well north of 50% increase in cash comp from current (plus LT equity, draws, etc). Anyone take $ over brand? what are some traps to watch for?

Subject matter expert with my CPA. I’m completely fed up with the compliance aspect of public accounting Tax but don’t mind the technical side. Does it make sense to become an attorney to get out of compliance work and still do something related to specialty tax?

First year lit associate here. I had a tough time deciding between corporate and lit and chose lit because I wanted to litigate. Hey fishes, I have an offer from a Big4 firm in Dublin for tech consulting in SA1 position. I have been offered 53k as fixed and a bonus of max 7.5% of fixed compensation. I do have a prior experience of about 40 months in Big4.
