First things first - don't compare cad and usd ... You will not match ever ... Period !!!
Now Canada as a economy is far smaller than US ... Which relatively transfers back to opportunities and pay ... Our consultant rates to clients are also cheaper !
Consultant ranges from 60-80 in HC !
Canada is not for money it's for celebrating life ... Chose what you need !
Canada is a mix of super expensive COL + 30-50% lower salaries than the same role in the US + poor FX rate + bloated real estate market + higher taxes + higher transportation etc. It's not like the lower salaries are offset by cheaper costs for other expenses. Sure, education is cheaper, but that doesn't offset making $100k less each year compared to the US. The positives though is Canada is much safer, less problems, beautiful nature, cleaner, nicer people on average, better education system, more cultural integration and diversity, has all of the cultural amenities and shopping of the US etc. It's like a purified 51st state similar to Alaska but closed off to Americans, lol.
60-75. Not a joke
Also that's Canadian dollars, so $45k USD.
Dang as a Canadian I don’t know if I could do this job for that pay cut (esp when you take exchange rates into consideration)
Came in with about 5yrs industry experience. No MBA
60k CAD maximum for Consultants
I'm making $105 at Accenture as a consultant... Don't believe the Deloitte numbers.
Is consultant post-MBA role in Deloitte? Looking to move from US to Canada
It’s not prescriptive . I’ve seen folks post-MBA in BA, C, and SC roles. I would say the majority land between C and SC depending on previous years of experience pre-MBA
When I was a C at Deloitte I was making 84k in HRT. Similar to my peers
That’s high end of the band. C band is ~60-80k for the most part in HC
