I don’t know how EY handles this specifically, but most companies give you leeway on utilization your first year. It’s normal to take a while to find engagements while you’re starting out and still making connections.
Isn’t it a new year you should have started over at 0. Anyways you have to reach out. Get to the office early introduce yourself to people let them know your skills and try to offer help. Reach out to you manager and ask them if they can point you in a direction of senior leaders. Reach out to them schedule coffee and whatever they say they do act interested and be so excited you have to offer to help
BA is right - you should be fine your first year. Just keep bugging your EM/reach out to random partners/SMs in areas you’re interested in and ask to help out with BD work
@Boozy1 is right. First year gives you some leeway, but not really that great. Get at least 6 months of work and you should be fine. If you’re in a major city, you have even less of an excuse.
