I’m a freelance digital producer - working with video producers since my digital project will have a commercial made out of it.

We need audio captured and because it’s based on the digital activation I know it will need a lot of variation. I ask them if they are sure they have enough recording time booked since I think they need at least 3-4 hours and they only had 2 hours booked. I don’t do commercials or audio recordings.

They look at me like I’m a rude idiot.

For the people who earned the SHRM-CP, did you feel it was worth it? I have an indirect HR position, been applying for more HR focused positions and wondering if this would help. I got the CAPM (certified associate of project management) in December, but that hasn’t really changed things. Would love some opinions before working on another certification!

Serious billing question - if during the course of the day, you first receive an email from Client A at say 11:10am and you read it, you then respond to it at 12:20pm. You get another email at 2pm from Client A and respond immediately. The next email comes in at 4pm, you read it and respond only at 4:30pm. None of the email responses take more than 3-5mins. You are working on matters for other clients at all other times during the day. How much are you billing for Client A?

Do you work the holidays into your lesson plans this time of year? Or is it too much of a distraction from your routine?
