I'm a graphic designer and have a client who's been paying me hourly rate (100/hr) for maintenance-type creative projects. They're opening a small event space and want me to develop brand identity for it. Normally I would charge a fixed rate for logo/brand development project. I'm pretty sure they're expecting me to charge by the hour for it though (which would inevitably amount to less money). Should I bring up a different rate plan for this project or pack on the hours or... wwyd?

Please remember, when you’re asking for salary information, it’s important to mention where you are located. For example, $100,000 is going to be a lot more in Mississippi than in San Francisco. Thanks guys.

Now my standard util is 40 and my adjusted is 105... and this project last in another month... by then my standard util might be 20.. will my promotion be affected by this? My target promotion year on TOD is 2022. My manager said we might sell to client and extend this project in September but nothing guaranteed.

I started out as a graphic designer. Worked for about 4yrs in different roles. Then i started a digital design role for 2 yrs and then made my transition into ux. i have been in a ux role for 5 years. But i want to steer my career towards something more creative. Like in 5-10 years I wouldn’t want to be a specialist or a ux director. I d like to be an art director or creative director. I love branding & marketing but also product.
