Give it a little time and let them get it out of their system. If it's still an issue in a few months, well, that's different.

how old are you? its not that deep

im in the similar age bracket as you, and per my other comment in this thread, there’s benefits to being young. as long as they respect your legal counsel
I’m 32 and everyone I work with is generally older. But I hold my own very well and people typically don’t realize how much younger I am (beard helps). I actually just got my old boss a job on my team and she is 60, our current boss is 50, my direct report is in her 40’s. Be competent and carry yourself with a strong presence.

i look younger than my age, and because of that more senior lawyers are more patient to coach me and coworkers have tried setting me up with their children. win win
✍️✍️✍️ thanks!
Sounds like there will be a lot of upward mobility there soon. I'd stick around and focus on learning about innovations to the practice in your spare time.
Quit now, and look for a company less likely to notice that their babies use phrases like "fuckin annoying and unprofessional imo" when communicating with industry peers. If you have ever been given the professional advice to dress like your boss, you should also understand you should talk like your boss.
For what it's worth, I'm in the age bracket referenced above, and I sent faxes more than a decade before you were in diapers or cried for Mommy for your first time.

prob not even a real lawyer lol
I don’t think it’s unprofessional, but it seems like you are very bothered. You may be right that your current work place may not be the best fit for you, and if you continue to have a hard time with your colleagues you should consider leaving (although people will make random comments wherever you go).
Also, when older folks comment about your age, they may mean just that and I would recommend not overthinking and don’t respond with something like “well I’m an adult/lawyer so it’s different”. No one questioned whether you are an adult or a lawyer and I frankly don’t know what you mean by “it’s different”. You are an adult/lawyer. Try not to be bothered by things like this, there are much bigger/serious issues to concern yourself with.
I’m in my 30s and present very young. Folks have questioned my age and experience like this my entire career. I let it go and rebut their assumptions with the quality of the work. There are huge advantages to this, including that many people seem to be especially kind to me and willing to assist me. I’d let this go if I were you.
Honestly just a lot of luck and some very targeted momentum in a niche space. I went straight through and started clerking full-time in big law during law school (a night program). My practice is one of the industry-focused groups with a broad substantive practice, so I had the rare mix of both lit and corporate biglaw experience. A few years ago, a client came to me with my current job. They were willing to take a chance on me in a very senior role given their experience with me (including one very well time victory for them right as they started looking to hire). My boss will retire in the next couple of years so I’ll take the GC role like right before I turn 40.
Start telling boomer jokes back at them.
