Can you give us an example of risk aversion in relationships? And also what you’re looking to accomplish by opening your risk profile. It would help in suggesting paths forward
I don’t think a book will help you. Every week, try to do something that you know isn’t that risky, but makes you uncomfortable. Go on a first date, put $100 in a S&P 500 fund in an IRA.
Just give yourself some exposure therapy. Seek help from a therapist if it’s too much for you to take on alone. Over time, you’ll get more comfortable. Good luck!

risk tolerance is innate you can't really increase it, but you can build a strategy around it. If you continue to fight your natural tolerance it will leave you very stressed out and unable to use your best judgment.
