I have an mba, a cfa, and frm. Don’t think you need any of those to become an investor
Yep, only got a law degree as that’s necessary to practice law. Zero value add to my practice otherwise.

I am a CFA, FWIW. Are you trying to get a job? Or just wanting to learn how to make investments on your own?
Job. I find institutional asset management neat.

Even an MBA from HBS or GSB won’t get you far nowadays.
Have an MBA. The financial classes in an MBA are valuable for setting good goals (find your risk tolerance and pick investments that have the highest sharpe ratio for your risk tolerance and investing timeline, factoring taxes, fees etc) and doing basic analysis of the asset class area (five forces or whatever else is popular now and understanding valuations) for long term profitability. That being said, you could probably pick up this stuff from online classes and asking the internet. However, if you are pivoting your career, then the MBA may become useful and I’d be willing to bet someone in the asset management industry would take a chance on you as a top law firm midlevel. Might have to take a pay cut at the beginning though and you’d be a junior all over.
