I’m accepted into a T10 MBA in the states and am thinking of a move to FO IB. I currently work in FP&A on tech side for MS/GS. Although this is back office would it help at all, or does it not really matter to them in recruiting?

What are the Top MBAs outside of M7 to land an MBB role?

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

So I’m planning on leaving my position before school starts, but the application and interview process has been slow. At this point I’m afraid I won’t find a job until late July. Should I let my school now and let them post my job as an anticipated position? I’d hate for them to have to find someone last minute, but I also want to keep that school as a fall back just in case. Unfortunately, it’s a terrible position and there has not been a lot of interest in it in the past.

Anyone here start out in PA and leave to go to law school and come back? I’ve been contemplating leaving and going to law school for years. Someone I know just finished an executive education program at Wharton that cost $70k… no letters after his name now, just a certificate. These programs seem like the height of grifting to me. or is even a certificate from a top-tier business school really worth that much?

I feel like when I see a top-tier school on a profile and they didn’t get a degree there it feels like they’re being misleading somehow. Am I missing the value of these programs?

I can really use some direction. My background, I've worked 2 years in strategy and am currently coming off an exhausting year 2 in investment banking. I didn't particularly enjoy either role and am not interested in moving over to the buy-side or some monotonous FP&A role. Everybody says there's exit-ops aplenty, but I find myself with less options and even more picky than I did as an ambitious T2 undergrad student. Where do I go from here?
