Hello Sharks, I recently gave interview of Tiger Analytics and after all successful technical discussion, they were offering me Senior analytics - data Science role for 15.5 fixed + 2L jb, considering my current yoe 4.3 and in data science relevant is not much(consider it 1.5+) but my cctc is 14(13fixed+1 variable), I denied to accept this offer. Should I reconsider that?

I mean you should be getting promoted next year. Idk how Consulting works but I’m in your level in Advisory and making $72,500 in my first year and expecting to get raised to at least $75 next year. Considering you are 2 years in I’d say your underpaid
Yes you are underpaid. That’s what a new hire (zero exp) associate at pwc makes at a tier 3 city. For context, It’s 75k for new hires in tier 1 city. Deloitte should also be paying higher base I hear to offset the no bonus
I’m in the same boat and in federal, but constantly feel I could easily be making more elsewhere
How many hours you work has nothing to do with your salaried compensation. Otherwise we would all work more hours at 75% efficiency to boost our pay.
Are you in commercial consulting? If yes then you are. Incoming analysts are getting ~80k in 2019. They have 0 years work exp.
I don’t think you’re necessarily underpaid if you haven’t received a promotion yet. If you get promoted and bumped to ~90K, you’re prob at a better spot.
I assume you’re not in Consulting - if not then your pay is fine. If you’re in Consulting then is low. You should make 85k+
STOP WORKING 50-60 hours per week. This is crazy! Please knock in some reality:
1) yes you are underpaid marginally (which is alright - something you can fix)
2) no one is going to award or compensate you for all the extra hours you put in
Work to your satisfaction, your best efficiency, but remember the firm, partners, talent does NOT care for your excessive admiration that makes you put in 50-60 hours a week! Be smart
