I am currently pursuing a position to be a 401k workplace planning consultant with Fidelity Investments. I would like to connect with someone who has gone through that training and early hiring process to make sure I have a solid understanding of the position. This is specifically for the Raleigh/Durham NC area if possible.

Depends on the CCO
Even my CDs have never actually worked closely with them or be in the same room as them
Usually depends on the amount of money the account brings in.
SC 1 - me and my CDs are on one of the pretty big ones. I understand me not working with the CCO closely but my CDs? Is that normal?
Some of our work have gone to the cco but not from us. It’s always our gcd or ecd. So many layers...
If you want exposure, volunteer on pitches. Otherwise, you’ll start meeting them as a senior and up.
I worked directly with the CCO on a weekly basis as an ACD. At one of the big ones in NY. Loved it!
From my experience it depends on what accounts you work on and the size of your agency. I’m lucky enough to be able to pop in and ask questions or run ideas by, but not a lot of people at my company have access. I’d say a good part of it has to do with new biz.
I work at a pretty big agency, but our CCO is involved in almost everything. So I actually get to show him work on almost a weekly basis.
