I'm coming back from dealing with a medical issue and our office is suffering the organizational issues that it always has. I feel bad for my coworkers that I'm under doctor's orders to work part-time for the next few weeks but it is only temporary and I need to tell myself that it's not my fault that these organizational problems are happening or that I'm experiencing my medical issue.

At some point, you have to realize it is not your problem to fix or worry about. I just gave notice at a firm that has lost three of their five associates in the last two months. You can't fix what is broken, especially when they refuse to acknowledge it is broken.

It is not your fault. I have been trying to get my office organized while I’ve been trying to get pregnant, because I don’t know how they’ll survive my maternity leave. But they’ve got to survive without me. Finally getting them to a place where I’m pulling back, which is great bc they’ve got 7 months before I’m out.

Y’all I just need to vent real quick as my husband is gone for the week several time zones away and I’m alone. This late second trimester heartburn is unreal! I’ve never really had heartburn before but holy shit! I find myself pacing and feeling sick to my stomach because of it, unable to focus on anything else, and then I’m drained because all my energy is spent focusing on just this pain. Hoooo 😵 10/10 do not recommend

I am lead counsel on a case - we’re suing 3 businesses and my supervisor is a named incorporator of one of the businesses although he is not an officer. He is asking me to bring the file and meet with him about the progress of the case. I reminded him of the conflict and he stated that the conflict was resolved because he also has a claim against 1 of the companies that he recently filed separately. I don’t see how that resolved the conflict…and he’s fully pressuring me to meet. How to respond?
