Timing for recruiting for the purpose of negotiating salaries: I like my job/company, but know I can get a better salary with my skills/experience elsewhere. With promo reviews coming up, I expect to receive a promotion, but want to have another offer to inflate my salary a bit more. Anybody have insight on the timing and general do/don’t?

I was an AE for two years, took a promotion at another agency for SAE for only 8 months and am now being recruited for AS at 80k. I have been a PM at my company for 2 years now, with a years prior experience as associate PM. I got promoted before my certification, but was told if I did not get a PMP or ACP I would get my promotion taken away.
Received the ACP and have not seen a raise. Now we have a girl that is getting a 15k raise and going straight from Project coordinator to PM (with one year experience) and no certification. She will now be 5k less than me. If she gets CaPM she gets a 5k raise. Wong to feel slighted?

Okay, it’s time to stop putting on a face about this. I love my boyfriend so much, but covid is ruining us. We are both still WFH and argue every few days about the dumbest stuff. My and his mental health are both diminishing and it feels like an impossible trench to dig out of. My stomach hurts every time we fight and I (independent of him) feel so stuck in this horrible global crisis. I faked my resume I mean my contracting firm did and I didn’t have choice and I got the job. Now my client wants to offer me a full time position. I kind of feel like they trust me with the work I’m doing and also considering my past experiences to offer me a full time and moreover it’s only been 3 months.

I know it’s a little unusual but what do you guys think/suggest me to do in this situation?!

I need to let it out but I’m so fucking proud of myself and I just realized how lucky I got and it took me until just now to see it. I started in the military and it only took 2 months for me to get out and fall into a bottomless hole of depression. My transition went from: $13 an hour part time, separation with the wife, new job at $18 an hour for physical labor, hit with disability diagnosis, then $20 an hour new office job, reconnecting with wife, having 2nd kid, nearly divorcing (cont.)
