LOL do NOT accept a senior consultant role at Deloitte if you're a lead associate at Booz. Manager is the equivalent role there and where I've seen every single lead associate I've known jump to. Senior associate here would be senior manager at Deloitte. SC at Deloitte is Associate level at Booz.
SC or M
Plus Deloitte tends to higher a level lower than you may be qualified for with a fast promotion lol
I went from bah to d and was a SC there and came in as one at d. As a LA I def wouldn't take anything under M. Also, this will be a great decision. D is way better than bah
Agreed with SC or M, I’m an SC at Booz and I’m probably doing analyst work, associates are on par with C or SC, etc
With 8 years total IT experience and 3 years in a management role what would you think the pay range is coming in at a M?
With 8 years you’ll probably be an M (came from D), pay would depend, are you trying to do fed or commercial?
Most SC’s I met at D were more capable than a lot of LA’s at Booz, in terms of project management
Most of my experience is from Federal. I wouldn’t mind going to commercial.
Commercial would obviously be a lot more money, my ignorant guess is 130-150k fed, 150-180k (total comp) commercial
Thanks SC1, I have been on Glassdoor already but wanted to ask legit people instead of trying to guess. Lol
That’s also just my guess, it’ll greatly depend on how Deloitte feels on how “relevant” your experience is.
Did anyone move from BAH to commercial at D? Or does D really only hire BAH for fed
I went to fed. I would assume it's possible to go from bah to commercial, but much less likely
If you join don’t come in at SM level. Have seen lots of candidates struggle at senior manager/specialist leader level because sales metrics are tough
Deloitte is much more intense. They are a ‘grow or go model.’ So if you are hired to the traditional path, keep this in mind for expectations and trajectory.
