Accenture would be a downgrade
Accenture is only excelling at marketing itself in AI. Not the place to go.
Several EY-P folks moved to Accenture and the difference in AI work is night and day. Accenture is way ahead in terms of solution sophistication, use case portfolio, and resources available. On the downside, the culture at A is much much more aggressive and unhealthy compared to EY-P. Go in with your eyes open.
EYP 1 - I am in the process of interviewing at EYP and think in a good position, would be great if you can clarify how EYP overall is doing (WLB, Culture, Type of work, etc..) Worried that all the Strategy work is just CDD/ODD which I am not fond of.
It’s hard to dismiss the haters because we did miss the boat on being first to market with true AI led assets and solutions. We’re squarely middle of the pack - best case. Maybe further back than that.
That said, I have seen very impressive stuff materializing over the last few months and in an arms race, we have more money than any competitor, so we have a legit ability to catch up and even take the lead.
Will we though? That remains to be seen. All I know is it’ the top priority now, so if we can execute and/or buy our way out of being middle of the pack, it’s not crazy to think that we overtake firms that have tech practices less than 10% the size of ours. But who knows… time will tell.
Joining EY , just to do PR for Accenture is next level of creating stakeholder value. Forefront of AI- bruh
Accenture is the next level of promising stakeholder value before they can even confirm if that value is even systematically possible for a given stakeholder or project.
You don’t want to be a reinventor.
I went to Accenture for 3 months and left for industry.
Yes. Accenture is heavily insisting on AI but forget to invest on salary hikes/promotion for our people.
I feel these AI investments will be worthwhile in the future and I'm upskilling as much as I can.
It is yet to be seen if industry adopts AI at the pace Accenture pushes it to be.
EY is doing a lot with AI. Network network network and make your way over to the right team.
I don’t know about being at the forefront when you’re with Accenture but you’ll definitely get a lot of AI experience. Accenture is huge so it depends where you end up but I think AI touches almost every project these days. As an swe everything I have done in the past 2+ years is AI systems integration into new or existing apps. So it’s like I’m on the forefront of figuring out ways to use AI that the people at OpenAI/google/etc who I would consider the real forefront are building.
This is a distinction and a nuance that a lot of folks miss.
Anthropic is not in the business of applying what they build; they’re just building it, and letting everyone else figure out how to use it.
others (like us) are the ones traditionally in between the builders, and the ultimate consumers of those capabilities (our clients). We bridge the gap between the product, and how that product gets applied within the context of a specific industry or tech environment.
Accenture has many AI projects.
I came from EY to Accenture and regret it. I have a great team but the work here is not exciting and the overall company culture doesn’t come close to EY. I don’t think we’re at the forefront of AI. We use the same enterprise LLM tools as any of the big 4.
I am in the process of interviewing at EYP, would be great if you can help clarify how EYPs overall culture is better, how is WLB. Worried that all the Strategy work is CDD/ODD which i hear not the best hours and not really what im interested (more digital strat)
Get in right now since their stock is 70% down from peak levels
I love buying penny stocks. Someday they could also go down the GameStop route.
