I work for a company that is entirely remote and you should offer an allowance for remote work, then its a non-issue and you base pay on skill/experience. This does not have to be a lot $100/month is completely reasonable.
I think it's about what you're willing to work for. Companies are obviously going to try and give you as little money as possible for the work. But ultimately you have to let them know your minimum and stick to it. If you're willing and able to work for $70,000, go for that. If you need more, let them know.
I do my research on Glassdoor and levels.fyi. What is fair is probably somewhere in the middle. I would base it on your experience too!!
If it’s listed on the posting, there likely isn’t too much wiggle room. Different companies may have different budgets
