Dir for the whole org.politely asked him to send her availability other than next Haven’t received anything since then . Wondering if such co. Is worth pursuing that doesn’t value others time and that too a replacement pos for the same busy role 🥹
What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.

Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

I work in a similar position and have loved it. The important thing to look at is how many transactions they’ve historically gotten into that would necessitate technical accounting help. If the company is doing interesting things it shouldn’t be boring
WLB has been great. I’m fully remote and work 30-35 a week on average and very very rarely work a weekend (maybe twice a year I do like 2 hours on a weekend because we need to push out financial statements on a Monday). There are busier and less busy times depending on the transactions we take on.
I may have gotten a bit lucky in this respect but the team is pretty well staffed so that helps. Also, not sure what level role you’re looking at but I have a more senior role on the team and am only able to achieve the above bc the first thing I did when I started is that I simplified all of our processes to make everything more efficient.
What level are you? Have you considered staying in client services but maybe smaller firms’ accounting advisory practices for better hours? Industry financial reporting is likely less boring for higher ups (manager+). If you join as an accountant or senior accountant and there arent many activities going on, you’ll likely be doing all the grunt work (rolling the Qs, Ks, input numbers into them, mindless tieouts, etc.) Depending on the teams sometimes they don’t feel comfortable or think it will be quicker for managers and above to work on most technical accounting matters.
