I'm due to start on Monday and I haven't heard anything from EY about my first day - is this normal for the onboarding process? I'll be emailing shortly but I've never had to push to get first day details before and it's contributing to what has been a fairly poor onboarding experience.

I have completed my tech interview rounds with UBS and have received email for fitment round.

Can anyone share what happens in this fitment round on interview?
HRs have asked to submit documents even before this fitment round; which seems unusual. Is this normal for UBS and this is how they progress?

Hello. I have a job interview coming up. When asked the question by the interviewer, “Why do you want to leave your current employer for us?” What is the best answer?

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

I applied for one position at amdocs some time back, online interview was scheduled but I couldn't attend the interview for some reason.

Cold applied for an awesome role, had an interview with hiring manager, recruiter, and given a pretty hefty assignment that I’m really proud of nailing. I applied to an experienced consultant position at Bain and just heard back. Yesterday, I received an invite to a HireVue one-way interview to complete. Today, I received an invite for a coffee chat with a consultant. I’m of course going to do both, but the emails make it seem like they are almost two separate paths/disconnected processes. I finished my MSN LM to maybe stand out from the large amount of applicants they get. BUT I have no experience in analytics.. so I have a chance? How do I get training in tableau, sql, interqual, project management, alteryx..

I am thinking of buying a used Maserati (3-4 years old, low mileage and if possible as good deal) and use it for 3 years, put 15 k miles on it and sell it off. The cars available are for $35-40k (Ghibli). Questions for the group

How does your firm measure utilization? I work for a small boutique that defines it as utilization = number of billable hours/2,080 and full bonus payout occurs at 80% plus.

Ive accepted an offer going from a SM role to M role at EY in the CCas team , London office. Can anyone confirm how often one needs to come into the office, as my commute is from Hampshire . In my current role I rarely go to the office, i.e once every few months (also in London) and am considering backing out due to the additional commuting cost and less flexible work life balance.

I was told yesterday that they have an updated offer for me, scheduled the call twice with me but didn't actually call and told me she got occupied in other meetings. Hey all, I’ve recently joined EY consulting from another Big 4 and have noticed there’s no discipline (at least in my team) around codes and charging time. People either charge a standard 7 hrs or some will charge time spent on internal activities to their client code.

I was told that “the last person to charge their actual hours worked was promptly booted off the project”.
Just wondering:
1) Is this a general cultural point accross all Consulting teams? Will challengin this get me in trouble?
