I'm finally buying a new chair. I was holding out to see if I could expense one.

Has anyone gotten a gaming chair instead of an office chair?

I think a good office chair helps you sit correctly and is comfortable when you sit right whereas the gaming chair is for more forgiveness in the sitting positions.

That's a really good point.

Just bought a new version of the aeron - fully loaded- had to flex on the color (gray vs carbon) as shipments are 4 weeks out and I bought from a store that had in stock. I’d say it was a good investment, 1,200 out the door.

like

Wonderful! Hope you enjoy the chair and that’s definitely a great investment in the long run.

The adjective “gaming,” similar to “tactical” or “wedding” really only commands a price premium and not much else. Better off with a Herman Miller Aeron or other office chair imo.

I have to admit when I see folks in gamer chairs, they kinda seem less professional. We have a client who looks downright silly...

Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.

So here are my questions.

How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.

When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.

Thanks in advance!

How hard is everyone pushing their corporate clients to authorize nonresident assignees whose only 2020 US compensation was the value of their 2019 tax preparation?
My clients are pushing back on it this year, and I can't say I blame them. If I were in their shoes, I'd rather take the risk of not filing than the expense of filing again. From my own point of view, I don't really want to spend my time on such returns, either, even if the revenue and easy return are nice.

I quit my old job but am working PT for them till they find a replacement. Apparently they could not get a refund on a flight they booked me and my manager is asking if (not me, but I can see it in Teams) I can reimburse for the ticket. It’s $800, anyone know if this is legal?

How do you feel as a native speaker when you meet non-natives? Should they be worried, or, they doing ok?

Confused if parents want schools to reopen or not? I read so many posts here about how difficult it is to work full time and manage kids’ at-home schooling (I can’t even imagine!) so would assume that means parents want to reopen, but at the same time keep seeing a ton of backlash from parents in states who are pushing to reopen due to safety reasons.
