I have $100K liquid cash over and above maxing out 401K, HSA, College fund, investments in Index funds and emergency fund. I plan to leave $25K for contingency. Of the $75K is it wise if I purchase I bonds worth $30K (myself, spouse, kid)? Current combined rate is 9.62 Does anyone foresee the interest rate drastically reducing? This week, I received a letter in the mail from a Catholic church in SC. So apparently my ex is trying to get our marriage annulled. We have been divorced for 20 years now. The letter said they wanted to ask me general questions about our marriage. I really don't want to talk to anybody about my past relationship with my ex. The letter said they could issue a subpoena to make me comply. Not sure why she is doing this? She remarried and had a child. So not sure what she has to gain by this? Cont.

Hey fishes. I have been offered Management Consultant role with CTC break up in terms of JB, RB, fixed and variable. So is the fixed amount my gross salary without any other deduction except TDS, or will the organisation contribution to PF be also deducted from the fixed component? Also, will claimable components like LTA, mobile bill reimbursement etc. be in addition to this fixed component or will they be included in it?

I’m currently at a boutique agency where it’s just me and my boss doing RM for about 200+ people. I have been there for almost a year and have implemented some new processes that are starting to help streamline the process. I currently make $85K. Is this an appropriate salary for my level? I am being approached for RM roles at consulting firms and other agencies. I like the idea of building something here but would also like better benefits (more vacation, better mat leave).

My wife works at a school with kids with behavioral issues. The kids are abusive to the teachers/paras and have hit, kicked, pulled hair, as well as have grabbed the privates of teachers/paras. Nothing is ever done about it by higher up. Recently, the principal got kicked in the leg, and it turns out that the superintendent is “pressing charges” against the kid, but won’t do anything for the teachers/paras. What actions can my wife and the teachers take if the superintendent won't do anything?

I’m 30 and my spouse and I want to save a million dollars in 15 years by age 45. I figured 1,000,000/15=66,666/yr need to save. To get to 66,666/yr, need to contribute:
-401k at 19500k x 2
-Roth IRA at 6000 x 2
-remaining $7833 x 2 in a brokerage account

Does this look good? Am I missing something? With discipline 2 people can save 1 million in 15 years?

From 15th November will TCS employee need to report to "ODC Location"? If their "base location" and "ODC Location" is different; will they get deputation benefits i.e. "air ticket, tata quarter, deputation allowance"? Or will they forcefully transfer and change the base location without employee's consent?
