I’m going to interview for an enterprise project manager position at my company. I’m an operations manager, with 4.5 years of management, leadership and credit union experience, And I just got my MBA. Currently making $77k as my base. My boss gave the hiring manager a strong recommendation for me. problem is, it looks like the job description calls for a scrum master certificate and they may also like to have a PMP. If I get offered the position, I want to ask for 90-100k is that crazy?

Is that range market for the position? Your ask seems low to me.

$77k also seems low to me. Do your market research for sure to determine what Thelma fair rate is. That being said, not checking every box doesn’t mean you can’t ask for what you want. If you’re applying for jobs where you can check off every single thing on the job description, then you’re aiming too low. Which is often why you see on job posts the listing will encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every ask. Good luck!

I don’t think it’s crazy at all. But I will say I recently became a CSM and they will tell you about companies that are want ro combine project manager and scrum master as one role when they truly are separate roles.

Hello all. I’m a Talent Acquisition Partner who wants to move into a Project Management role. I’m planning on completing my CSM certification by next month and thinking of completing CAPM as well. Any tips/advices how I can make my CV well suited for a PM role since my entire experience has been as a Recruiter.

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?

I'm trying to figure out how to pivot out of my current job. My department is in utter chaos, which has just become completely unmanageable. I'm looking for front-end web design work, and work from home. I am a strong designer and basically set up landing pages for large companies on a proprietary CMS in our company. If anyone knows of places I could apply? I'm not trying to reinvent myself as I do artwork on the side and would rather grow that business and get out of the chaos of fortune 500.
