I’m an operations manager, with 4.5 years of management, leadership and credit union experience, And I just got my MBA. Currently making $77k as my base. My boss gave the hiring manager a strong recommendation for me. problem is, it looks like the job description calls for a scrum master certificate and they may also like to have a PMP. If I get offered the position, I want to ask for 90-100k is that crazy?

Any tips/advices how I can make my CV well suited for a PM role since my entire experience has been as a Recruiter.

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?

Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!

I have an offer for a company abroad. I'm trying to figure out how to pivot out of my current job. My department is in utter chaos, which has just become completely unmanageable. I'm looking for front-end web design work, and work from home. I am a strong designer and basically set up landing pages for large companies on a proprietary CMS in our company. If anyone knows of places I could apply? I'm not trying to reinvent myself as I do artwork on the side and would rather grow that business and get out of the chaos of fortune 500.

Can someone please give feedback on how are MSBA programs in Canada, are they considered equivalent to MS as most of them are only of 1-1.5 years?

What has your experience been with new job offers and counter offers from current employers? In my opinion, if I’m looking to leave it is because I’m unhappy and excited about the new role I’ve been offered. I’ve never been interested in a counter offer and it seems like it would ruin relationships with both employers. Interested to hear others opinions!
