I checked with few of my connections, they saying I will be mostly allocated to Salesforce industries (Vlocity) project. Please suggest about the team structure and work life balance for this role.
and also in future, is it possible to apply for IJP in Salesforce ?
Please provide your thoughts on this.

After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Finance is living off its old reputation. Unless you’re in IB or PE, the comp has gone stale. No wonder people are pivoting out.
It all comes down, like everything else, to the marketplace. Right now salaries seem to be going through a transition as many people are looking for jobs. So lowball offers will find takers, and that tends to drive down salaries across the industry. It may be some time before that changes.
I think employers see many options for this like:
1. Seeing analysts as cost centre and marketers as profit centre.
2. AI driven finance decision automations.
3. Marketing as human touch driven thing.
4. Possibility of finance management outsourcing while marketers needed on-the-grounds.
May be a few more.
As owner, i believe these are impactful factors. Thats why despite always being in demand, finance experts face challenges.
Any criticism tothis is welcome 🙂
I think your friend is having more of a one-off experience than what is normal in that industry. There might be less money in some finance roles, but it’s probably a lot easier to get a job when comparing it to tech or marketing right now.
I live in a LCOL area (Orlando) and I regularly see FA/PCA vacancies from $80-$100k. I wonder if there’s no demand where you live?
Excel skills aren’t the only valuable skill? But yea entry level financial analyst roles never have paid well. Any non revenue / non client facing role like that will be low. Those aren’t really ‘finance’ jobs you’re talking about or see spoken of. They’re jobs within the finance department and can be within any industry
it's not generally unless you fight your way into a good role. As someone young, I do worry heavily about AI as well
FP&A isn’t traditional finance. Job market is rough in general but I’ve found the traditional finance jobs are still paying well despite stronger than usual competition for jobs and easier to land than a high paying tech job right now
My starting salary in *2012* for a marketing job in Ohio was $55k lol.
