I’m in a bit of a weird situation. Im from the health and public sector practice under strategy and consulting. The partner has offered to train me on workday for 3 weeks and work on workday implementation projects. I’ve been on the bench for three days should I say no and keep looking or should I just go for it? Projects are 3-9 months long.
My heart is in life sciences and more strategic/business transformation work, but with redundancies and bench going on feel like I should take what I get.

I’m a new patent prosecution associate and unfortunately only just now realized that maybe prosecuting patents isn’t something I want to do long term. I loved copyright (and trademark) in law school, but I have loans to pay off. Should I stick it out in my current role to pay them off before I jump ship to a new practice area or will I be pigeonholed forever to patents if I stay here for 2-3 years?
