Are you trying to opt out of all travel or try to travel less or try to get expectations around length of trips? Maybe start with those questions and see if you can have a conversations around expectations
Even most full remote works require to travel every now and then, 3-5 times a year doesn't seem that much, maybe you can meet halfway, like reduce the number of travels to the minimum ?

That’s frustrating. I feel like travel should be clearly disclosed upfront—especially for caregivers. If it’s not a dealbreaker, maybe you could ask if there's flexibility to combine trips or reduce frequency after the first year?
Our remote positions requires folks to fly to the mothership 4 times annually. Unfortunately you can't just be a digital nomad when there are financial impact involved if you are a core team member. That means you are valuable and we need to see you in person.
