I'm interviewing for a second job tomorrow that will make me overemployed, It's 20 hours per week on top of my day job, doable I think as I'm fully remote and pretty good with time management. Anyone else here working over the normal 40hrs/wk? How's that going, do you regret it?

That sounds like a solid plan if you're good with time management! I’m curious though, do you feel like it’s hard to give your best at both jobs? I’ve considered working more hours, but I’m always concerned about burnout.

I'm not overemployed currently but I have been in that situation. It can be lucrative and attractive for that, but it can also wear on you. No matter how the time management looks on paper, when you're actually putting in the hours it can be a real grind. And, there are only so many hours in a day, so you do have to give up other things you might be doing in what would be free time. I don't regret having done it, but I'm also not inclined to do it again anytime soon. Just be aware going in that it may not be as easy as it seems at first.

I just finished working 60 to 62 hours per week speed out over 7 days per week for a little under the last 2 years and then 6 days a week 55 hours per week for about a month and starting today 5 1/2 days 50 hours per week and it's nice to get back most of my weekends, but it cost me alot of money, so it depends as doing the time was not that big of a deal unless you dont sleep enough as this key to it handling it more easily t I did the math and it cost me potentially up to $240 per week or $960 per month or $12,480 a year, but I retained $52,000 per year as opposed to making $64,480 per year and I wasn't saving enough money ! I was Dumb, but my mom passed recently she was in her 90's and she left me $40,000 and I stopped buying stuff I don't need, so I am OK, but I still haven't gotten a better paying Sales Job yet, but I believe I will if I keep applying to new jobs as much as I have been and never stop applying and interviewing ! Current Sales Job ran out leads it's been seriously screwed up, but management has been, so nice, but you know it's a Sales job, so at what do they cut me loose ?

My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get. I was able to work out a deal with my company before I came because of prior experience luckily, but they offer a terrible base salary and sham of a commission structure to new hires + no remote. Then sit here and can’t figure out why…
