Who even knows. I’ve interviewed with more than 10 companies in the last 2 months and I keep getting rejected after multiple rounds, case studies, etc. The market is crazy. I wouldn’t bank on an offer until I had it in hand.
Added context - at the beginning of the process the recruiter let me know the role would likely get upgraded to a senior role. But only just did right after my in person interview with the team.
It's now been nearly 4 weeks since the in person interview and I now have the 30 min call set up "To review my background more"... Not sure what else they need to ask after I've interviewed with the same person twice already.
Your offer should come by nail or email
Hi, may I know which company we are talking about here?
You could possibly get an offer but it depends on the company. If it is a larger company, they may be trying to make the final decision and the offer will actually come from the recruiter. Some companies do this so the direct manager and new employee don’t start out on a negotiation. But other companies will let the direct manager make the verbal offer and if you accept the written offer will be emailed to you.
Could be one last interview and brings you one step closer to the decision being finalized. Patience is key with roles of this type and final selection is very important for the hiring company and team who is onboarding a new candidate. The fact that you continue to progress in the process is very encouraging, especially when there are so many qualified candidates. Just continue to set yourself apart and demonstrate why you are the best candidate for the role. What are your accomplishments to date and what you bring to the hiring company. Especially if you know what pain points they may have that you can either solve or contribute to the solution with your new team and other key stakeholders. Good luck!
