If you get the Nintendo online subscription ($20 per year) it comes with emulators for tons of NES and SNES games like Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past. Those type of games are good at helping with reading practice (no voice over) and basic math practice (money management and inventory management).
Great. Thank you!
Mario Kart because even if they suck at controls it doesn’t stop the game.
Thank you
Mario vs Rabbids Kingdom Battle - It’s turn-based so less dependent on controls / hand-eye coordination. And there’s actually a good amount of strategy to it given the different abilities of characters, weapons, power ups, etc. I was surprised at how quickly my 6 year old picked up on strategic trade offs. As he said - ‘you have to think like a Rabbid’
Most of the Lego games are also good for this age bc you can turn on a lot of on-screen hints. We’ve enjoyed Marvel SuperHeroes 2, DC Villains, and Jurassic World
Thank you!
Following so I can pick up some recommendations myself. I don’t have a Switch yet but want to get one eventually (see my post above...)
I’m only familiar with their first-party games like Mario Kart and Zelda. Animal Crossing is getting a ton of press these days but honestly I don’t know what it’s about.
Animal Crossing. Any Mario games.
Thanks
