I’m 39 weeks pregnant and don’t care about work anymore. I planned to work up until baby comes but now I wish I could take next week off. People keep assigning things to me and asking me stuff and I have to push back. Physically I feel fine (WFH helps), but mentally I’m checked out. What do I do if I go past my due date? Can I just call in sick?

How to deal with a BF that has a cush job, lotsa free time, low standards for housekeeping? I have the exact opposite scenario and get very minimal help. When I complain, he says I get stressed too easily and that I am nagging. I showed him articles about silent work, how women have to work harder etc. We live together, don’t have kids and can’t imagine the burden when that happens. I believe in ‘coaching’ but tired of trying.

MBB em level role vs. director level tech (non FAANG) exit? Coming from b4, roughly 10 yoe. I know it’s probably a personal preference thing but hoping to get opinions here. Tech role is $190k base plus a 30% target bonus. MBB role i got a verbal offer without a comp figure yet but my understanding is it’s around there, maybe 10-20% higher (or maybe much higher depending on bonus).

Didn’t fully expect to get the MBB offer honestly, but both beat my 180/198 b4 comp. Now i’m torn.

When I look back at choosing schools for undergraduate I think I made the smartest decision. I was never a straight A student in high-school, but I went to a community college for two years and did well enough to transfer to a top undergraduate program. This was much easier than applying straight to a top undergraduate program, at the end of the day it doesn’t matter how you got into the club, it matters what you do once you’re in. What was your path?

How to get tech jobs at MBB? I’m trying to move from medium consultancy firm where I did a lot of cloud engineering for the past 2 years and enjoyed it. Coming from unusual background (no relevant degree, only 2 years of relevant experience, early 30s) makes me feel like it’s a lost cause
