I'm relatively new to a company (8 months), managing a function of Comms&CSR. I noticed that different departments in my company don't much interact with other depts, tend to stick only to the colleagues in their teams and don't overall engage with others. For me, being a manager of the small team of two team members who are based in another city, is hard to get into their teams even for small talks. Could you advise ways to change this situation and get the various team more open to each other?

I would probably focus on the problem and what is the root cause. And then brainstorm solutions to the problem that address the root cause. For example, if the problem is a missed deadline, and the root cause is the lag time during the approval process, then maybe we would explore a work automation solution that automatically notified Team Member B when Team Member A approves the document. Cross-team communication is a common problem. GL.

What activities or events would help to boost engagement? Currently with different teams (HR Finance, purchasing, projects, legal) - it's like various countries with visa regime, and they don't interact with each other

Tax question: my SM changed my hours with a location I never worked at, from 2020. When I asked for a change, he is hesitant since it’s a long process. Would it cause any issue on visa if I filed a tax to a state I never worked in?

My hands are shaking!! I just got off a call with my toxic manager who is clearly not happy I am being poached for another division. I tried to hold firm as he attempted to 20 question me, who was it, who wants me, what division, how did they find out about me? And of course the gaslighting of “why didn’t you come to me I could have helped or made introductions”. Clearly everything is about him. How have you handled such situations? What could I have done better with my abusive manager?

Hi fishes,

Trust everyone is well !
I'm actively looking for a suitable opportunity ( Senior QA Automation Tester) in Singapore which can provide Visa sponsorship as well.
By any chance, does anyone have references in Singapore? I would be available immediately to join the organisation.

References will play an important role in the case of Foreigners in Singapore.
Thanks in advance.
