I’m seriously considering going back to a small business I used to work for. Being in 2 large back to back consulting firms has given me so much anxiety and I’m fearing now depression. I’m so stressed out and drained all the time but everyone says to only make career progressions. And not go back. I know I left for a reason - but that was because I cared more about “prestige” at the time. Now I care for caring companies & work life balance. Agh I don’t know what to do! :(

I'm realizing I don't really have any "healthy" ways of relaxing outside of work, so drop whatever you got. It's starting to affect my personal life and I'm worried I won't be able to have healthy relationships unless I can take care of myself first.

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. I get calls for python but they demand scraping & webdev(selenium/bs/django/flask) which I have no interest in.

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.
