I’m studying for the BEC exam and wondering how many people were able to pass it on the first try. I’ve heard from everyone that it’s the easiest, so I decided to take it first.

I would try your best not to compare yourself to others in regards to these exams. Some people may pass BEC the first try but take FAR 5x, it is totally dependent on the person - however, statistically BEC does have a higher pass rate than AUD & FAR (I think REG has a closer pass rate to BEC). Just do your best - you’ll get through them. Sending you encouragement & confidence

You can look up the pass rates of all the exams on the AICPA website. BEC and REG have the highest pass rates they were like exactly the same the past 4 quarters

Also look up Becker bump spreadsheet if you’re using Becker to see how your Becker exam scores translate to the real thing

I recently left the Army about a year ago. Did a DoD SkillBridge fellowship and accepted the full time offer because I was scared of not having a paycheck. About a year later, still at the company and I hate it. Don’t feel purpose and I’m working with recent college grads as my peers. Hi there,

Just joined S&C from 8 YOE in industry. Joined as M1, but was also a manager in former industry role. How soon is reasonable to be thinking about promotion Senior Manager? What kind of salary increase comes with this promotion?

Also, I negotiated current salary when the offer came 5 months ago now, not taking into account high increases in inflation. Do salaries get adjusted for inflation? And if so, when?

What are your thoughts on pay discrepancies based on family structure? Ex. Two people do the same job but one is paid more or given a larger bonus “because they have kids and you live alone” or “because their family is struggling”. Is that an ethical factor if both employees do the same job at the same pace, quality, etc?
