I’m switching from one insurance defense firm to another. Is it even remotely possible that a hiring conflicts check could show anything?

Unless you do coverage work I wouldn’t worry about it at all, even if you do coverage it’s unlikely to be a real problem. Good luck at the new gig!

No I only do workers comp defense currently (my current firm does workers comp defense and civil litigation) and I’m switching to a new firm that just does civil litigation. You don’t see any foreseeable issue with that right?

It’s Friday night at midnight and I just got out of work. I am new to FPP defense. So far it’s soul crushing. I feel like a robot just doing the same pattern pleadings and discovery over and over. I worked FT as a paralegal and went to law school in the evening. I recently interviewed at a small ID firm in employment law with about 9 attorneys. They asked for a writing sample. I dont have anything recent but provided what I had from last yr in a legal writing class, it was not enough for them. I became licensed this May so I dont have an array of motions to pick from. Then they asked for my undergrad transcript, at this point, I am now annoyed They are not Biglaw. Are they going overboard
