I’m switching over to consulting in June and I’m already assigned to a new project for the firm. I have a meeting with the Engagement manager on Wednesday and I was wondering what questions you typically ask or important information you need to know before joining a project.

As a new mom and a SM. I am having a tough time seeing myself progressing on the Partner path. Maybe someone here could help me? - I can’t find female partners who are in my life stage and are able to manage life and work. The female partners are either older or have no kids or have an army of nannies to work crazy hours. - I am an introvert and have a hard time imagining myself making fake friendships and rapports with client team members for the sake of making a sale.

I have something that is starting to annoy me a little bit: My husband tries to solve ALL my problems. While this is really sweet, he offers solutions even when I don’t ask him for any and even when I don’t need solutions at all, I just want to share my day (for example, I’ll tell him all my POCs on the client side are on holiday, he will start telling me to brainstorm what I need to do and try to help other people, even if I never said it was a problem). A coworker of mine just got a standing desk at work. First I laughed it off... but now I find myself peering enviously over 😒

Last year, My girlfriend was making 80k while I was making 200k so I took her out to dinners and took care of the groceries etc. Basically made sure it’s an equitable relationship. She got a new job this year and is now making 210k (more than me) but still expects me to pay for all the dinners and groceries. I’ve already talked to her about this but just resulted in argument.
