I’m trying to future-proof my career as a data scientist, and with things moving so fast with GenAI, I’m wondering what skills will actually keep me ahead. Should I be diving into LLM fine-tuning, getting better at prompt engineering, or something else? If you’ve upskilled in this space, what’s been the most valuable for you?

I am looking for permanently remote position that is no tied to US time zone or is subjected to European time zones(flexible hours).

Any recommendations of companies hiring for data analyst or junior data analyst positions?

Interested in how much others spend on food per month and what that breakdown looks like between at home or ordering out.

My husband and I have no kids and order/go out very rarely, maybe once a month, and our grocery bill for just the 2 of us has risen to around $750-$800 per month this year.

It's starting to feel very unreasonable to spend so much despite not wasting much. I do buy mostly produce but not always organic, and very little meat.

Whenever i have a big deadline, my body goes into a panic mode where my energy immediately goes to figuring out how I’ll get something done well and on time. Outwardly, I don’t seem stressed so no one notices but actually I usually feel like I have a cold: fatigue, headache, sore throat, sinus infection. When a task is done, i stop feeling like crap. It’s been like this since law school. Any tips on managing stress or moving towards doing good work without my body shutting down lol?

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? I have 5 YOE in Analytics... always thought I wanted to be a DS, but every job (even the junior ones) required experience in ML development. Though I am part of the ML project, I'm not the person develop the model. And I have a hard time when the interviewer ask about how I develop the model and what hyperparameters I tuned. I know the thought process and stuff but 'I' wasn't the one who did that part in the project. How to convince them that I could do the job without taking credit of others.

This has led to issues in self-referencing title. I’ve been project manager, data engineer, developer, modeler, analysts, principle DB developer, etc. Most of my w2 work has been from offers of 1099 clients so I am usually asked to define my own title.
